Cuisine American
- 1 lb 450g steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 lb 450g baby potatoes, halved
- 3 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tbsp fresh rosemary chopped
- 1 tbsp fresh thyme chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Optional: Grated parmesan cheese for topping
Prep the ingredients: Wash and halve the baby potatoes. Cut the steak into bite-sized pieces, and season with salt and pepper.
Cook the potatoes: In a large pan, heat 1 tbsp olive oil over medium heat. Add the potatoes and cook for about 10 minutes, or until golden brown and fork-tender. Remove from the pan and set aside.
Cook the steak bites: In the same pan, melt 2 tbsp butter over medium-high heat. Add the steak bites and sear for 4-5 minutes until browned on all sides. Remove and set aside.
Make the garlic butter sauce: In the same pan, melt the remaining 1 tbsp butter. Add the garlic, rosemary, and thyme, and cook for about 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
Combine: Return the potatoes and steak bites to the pan. Toss everything together in the garlic butter sauce and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, ensuring the flavors combine well.
Serve: Serve hot, garnished with optional grated parmesan cheese if desired.
