Prep Coating Station : In three separate bowls, prepare the dry mix (flour, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne, salt, pepper), the egg wash (beaten egg + milk/water), and the panko breadcrumbs.
Coat Chicken Tenders : Dip each tender into the flour mixture, then the egg wash, and finally the breadcrumbs. Place coated tenders on a plate.
Cook the Tenders :
For baking: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, spray lightly with oil, and bake for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway.
For frying: Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry tenders in batches for 3-4 minutes per side until golden. Drain on paper towels.
For air frying: Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Cook tenders in batches for 8-10 minutes, shaking halfway.
Toss in Hot Honey : While hot, toss the cooked tenders in hot honey sauce using tongs until evenly coated. Serve immediately.
